The Connecticut Birth to Three System, the state's early intervention program serving infants and toddlers with developmental delays, has expanded their 'automatically eligible' list of medical conditions. The new conditions include: babies born at 28 weeks gestation or less and babies born weighing less than 1,000 grams, babies and toddlers affected by hearing loss, and toddlers with significant delays in expressive language, along with a biological risk factor. For information on other conditions, as well as how to make a referral for a child with a suspected developmental delay, please visit the Birth to Three website.
