2-1-1 Child Care is committed to helping Connecticut families find appropriate care for their children. If you need child care, dial 2-1-1 or visit www.211childcare.org to search our comprehensive database of child care facilities. 2-1-1 Child Care is also dedicated to the advancement of child care professionals. Our Early Child Care Specialists offer a wide array of free trainings and workshops statewide. 2-1-1 Child Care maintains listings of average cost of child care and current trends on the availability of care. Operation Awareness:
Military Family Resource Fair

There are over 10,000 military children under the age of 18 living in Connecticut. Operation Military KidsOn March 22, Operation Military Kids will sponsor Operation Awareness to help families and all those interested understand the local resources that are available to support these children and their families. The resource fair will be held at the Armed Forces Reserve Center on 375 Smith Street in Middletown from 11-2 pm. Operation Awareness is free to all those interested in learning more about these resources. Click here for more information.

   
2-1-1 is Growing Nationwide

2-1-1 Requests by Town2-1-1

Over 86% of the U.S. population now has access to a United Way 2-1-1 information and referral service. In 2011, 2-1-1 operations received over 16.6 million calls from individuals and families seeking access to local health and human services resources. In Connecticut, dial 2-1-1 or visit www.211ct.org anytime for assistance.



New Federal Poverty Guidelines

The new Federal Poverty Guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will go into effect on April 1. The guidelines help determine eligibility for many local, state and federal programs including SNAP, HUSKY and energy assistance. Click here for the new guidelines.
