Enhanced Care Clinics

Enhanced Care Clinics (ECCs) have been established for children and adults who are covered by HUSKY. ECCs are specially designated mental health and substance abuse clinics providing routine outpatient services and other special services to children and adults. The Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership manages this for those receiving HUSKY and will reimburse the ECCs with fees that are, on average, 25 percent higher than the standard Husky fee schedule. For further information on the Enhanced Care Clinics, click here.

2-1-1 received over 6,000 service request for alcohol abuse information from Connecticut residents.
2-1-1 has received over 6,000 service requests for information related to alcohol abuse so far this year. Bristol residents made 171 calls. The holiday season is a good time to heighten public attention to drinking and driving. Through its Tie One On For Safety Campaign, MADD encourages drivers to tie red MADD ribbons to a visible place on their vehicle to boost awareness of drunk driving during the holidays. For information on substance abuse resources click here.

HUSKY Eligibility

The new state budget includes changes in coverage and access to HUSKY Health Care. The HUSKY A parent income guidelines increased from 150% to 185% of the federal poverty level as of July 1, 2007. As a result, the income guidelines for parents, children and pregnant women in HUSKY A is now the same for the first time in the history of the program. (For example, a family of three will be eligible with income below $31,765). Visit the HUSKY website to see the new income qualifications.
